I have a few things to say in this update.

My original plan for purchasing games was to get 4 of each game and deliver them equally to the 4 recipients I chose. However, since acquiring games has been difficult, I have only been able to purchase what is available. This means that I have many games, but not all of them in quadruplicate, and not all of 2021's funds have been spent. So, I want to try to get whatever games I can within 1 month's time.

There are 2 options I am considering for using the rest of the money this year.

1. I will carry over to next year and I will be far more diligent in acquiring items.

2. I will use the rest of the funds to purchase non-gaming things for kids. Stuffed animals, blankets, toys, learning tools, etc. I want to branch out into these areas eventually anyway.

This year I made a lot of big steps for the charity. Next year, I will be more prepared for whatever challenges come up.

Thanks to everyone for the support. I do not feel like I was as diligent as I should have been this year on many fronts. But, I have an outline of what I want to do next year and the future of Games On The Table is going to be great.

I have acquired some games!

Even on the most recent order, we are encountering issues. So, I picked up a good stock of what we had in store and am ordering more of what is here. (Not a lot of these games had multiple copies. And I am looking to get 4 each)

This is progress though.

Thanks everyone for the support.

Just a couple things I wanted to share here.

  1. New games have been ordered. Throughout the year we had issues of items being backordered. A few logistics were changed and it looks like we will get the games in soon.

  2. We are currently taking donations (see the donation page), but near the end of this month I will start sharing information, like I've done previous years.

  3. Next year I will start events. The game store I work at, Little Big Wars, is very open to events and runs them frequently. I plan to do them quarterly. I will make an update when the time comes about what events will happen and how to get involved.

  4. I want to apologize to anyone keeping tabs on the time to deliver games this year. Typically, I'd be able to go to a store and buy the games and deliver them within a week. However, the amount of money I received last year was much more than usual. And with production and shipping issues many companies still face, it was hard to get all the games that I wanted. Thankfully, Little Big Wars has experienced people and a large selection so I can be exposed to other game options. But, I know it has been nearly an entire year and the games haven't been delivered. Which I am not proud of. And it is hard for me to go into this holiday season asking for more donations because of that.

  5. My life was pretty busy the last few months and it was hard to multitask. I do a lot of this (not all) by myself and it can get overwhelming. Plans get pushed back more than I like. But I'm hoping once the Non-Profit organization get sorted out and I get some events going, I'll have the momentum and experience to keep consistent.
